Also, a lot of information has come from Video interviews with Bil Herd and Dave Haynie. Dave has a lot of videos on You-Tube. Search them out.. I wish I could post them here, but I don't have permission.

Lastly, more sites on the net have information. There are even a few dedicated sites to the C16. Do a Goggle search, because Bing is just a flash in the pan.:)

The Commodore 232 Is just a 264 with 32K of ram. Bil Herd is quoted saying "somebody at Commodore was probably trying to save a dollar", because at that time, that probably was the price difference between the two.

Even if this unit had been released, it probably would have died a quick death. The price difference, even in retail, between this unit and a 264, would have been so small, that most people would have bought a 264, unless Commodore bundled this unit in a killer way. Fortunately, it never saw the light of day in the retail place and Commodore marketing would have probably called it the plus /2 or something crazy like that.

There were a small few of these units that did make there way out to the public, but it is really unknown at this time, how many were released, and how many still exist. This is also why there are so few pictures out on the net of this unit.

I "borrowed" the above photo from commodore.ca without permission. It will be removed if someone complains. I just thought is was a cool picture showing the basic screen and the S/N.
