Also, a lot of information has come from Video interviews with Bil Herd and Dave Haynie. Dave has a lot of videos on You-Tube. Search them out.. I wish I could post them here, but I don't have permission.

Lastly, more sites on the net have information. There are even a few dedicated sites to the C16. Do a Goggle search, because Bing is just a flash in the pan.:)

Last Update : Sept 23,2009

The original concept set out by jack was to build a "Sinclair" Killer machine that Cost under 100. The result was the C116 You will notice the rubber Chicklet keyboard, Some say early models did not have a shift key.
Bil Herd states that this was easier to type on then the Sinclair.

The C116 came with 16K of Ram, 12K was for Basic, 2K was for the graphics, leaving only 2K for anything else. To do any real work you needed a memory expansion.
The C116 was only sold in Europe, probably not so compete with the C16 that came out in North America.

You will notice on the back, it is missing the "user" port. Inside, the AICA chip is not there, but emulated in software. Also, the power supply has been changed from the Plus /4. Probably to a "wall wort" plug instead of the brick.
